How Will I Learn It

The Massage Therapy program requires the completion of 600 hours of which 150 hours are designated as clinical practice hours. This program will provide you with the fundamental knowledge to acquire your license and begin your journey as a successful massage therapist.

You will learn through instructor led theory lectures, interactive exercises and demonstrations, instructor guided hands on training and through special events and workshops. You will also apply your skills in a clinical setting on clientele in order to master your techniques. Course content is as follows:

Florida Laws and HIV/AIDS (18 hrs.)

Professional Ethics (8 hrs.)

Anatomy and Physiology (176 hrs.)

Business Practice (15 hrs.)

History, Theory, and Practices of Basic Massage (107 hrs.)

Theory and Practices of Hydrotherapy (19 hrs.)

Allied Modalities (129 hrs.)

Medical Error (3 hrs.)

Clinical Practicum (125 hrs.)

TOTAL HOURS – (600 hrs.)

Upon completing all theory instruction and clinical practice hours and satisfactorily passing the final exam, you will receive a diploma and will be prepared to apply for the licensing exam.

Schedule and Completion time

The Massage Therapy Program may be completed in approximately 5 months by a full-time student or 8 months by a part-time student. Completion time will depend on your actual attendance. Classes begin weekly.

Full Time 30hrs/week 9am-3pm.
Part-time 20hrs/week 9am-1pm, 1:30pm-5:00pm, 6pm-10pm.
